Tails Together X-Ray Fundraiser
Tails Together was founded to bridge the gaps in animal welfare, the most significant of which is the need for medical care.
Our rescue efforts are focused on Chicago Animal Care & Control (CACC), the city’s impoundment facility. When animals enter CACC with medical needs, they have to leave with a rescue or face risk of euthanasia. However, most rescues don’t have in-house medical capabilities.
With a network of medical professionals and years of medical experience, Tails Together provides a pathway to adoption for those animals that need it most. As we bring more of our medical services in-house, our ability to save more lives greatly increases.
One of the most important tools we need to bring to our shelter is an in-house x-ray machine.
Typically this equipment would cost us around $10,000, but we have a matching donor who will cover half — can you help us raise the rest?

WHO BENEFITS:
Bruno
A 10-year-old senior from Chicago Animal Care & Control with a mass on his lower abdomen. An x-ray helped us determine this was testicular cancer and determine a surgery plan to remove it and allow Bruno to live a cancer-free life and go home with his adopters!
Penny
A 9-year-old dog from Chicago Animal Care & Control with significant tartar buildup and dental problems. He will require dental x-rays to determine what extractions are needed to help him live comfortably. Many animals at CACC end up at risk of euthanasia for needs as simple as dental surgery.
Linen
A 6-year-old dog from Chicago Animal Care & Control with a broken leg. X-rays not only showed us this was an old fracture on its way to healing, but helps us monitor his healing progress and consult with orthopedic specialists along the way.
…and all the Tails Together animals yet to come!
